Setup and Onboarding

Setup Introduction Getting Started

Welcome aboard! We're glad to see you join us. To get you started with PlayTank, we've put together a simple guide for you, which will get you all set up.
Once you've finished with Setup and Onboarding , take a look at some of our other guides to get the most out of the PlayTank platform.

With that, let's get started!

Signing Up

The first thing you'll do when using the PlayTank system is register for an account. If you're part of a company that has a PlayTank subscription, we recommend using your company email to make it easier to get into their organisation.

Register Account

Once you're signed up and logged in, you'll appear on your profile page. There won't be much here just yet as you don't belong to any organisations.

Waitig To Join

Joining and Switching Organisations

You'll have to wait until you're invited into an organisation (or subscribe for your own organisation) to begin to use the platform. When someone invites you to join an organisation, you'll receive a notifcation from the notifications window in the top right of the screen, which will ask you to accept or deny the invitation.

Organisation Invitation

The account you registered with acts as your global account, which can belong to multiple organisations. You can switch between any organisations you currently belong to at any point. Simply click the organisations button in the top right of your screen and select an organisation from the drop-down menu.

Creating Your First Idea

While there's plenty you could first do when you first join an organisation (start a challenge, build a concept, discover, save & recycle ideas in the knowledge bank etc...), we recommend idea creation as an excellent way to start your usage of the software.

The idea creation button is available at all times in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. This makes it easy to get your ideas and insights down quickly as they come to you.

Idea Capture Button

Ideas are comprised of multiple assets. These can be either simple text statements ("I've noticed an increase in people checking email by phone") or any of our supported file types (such as a pdf report discussing the rise in mobile adaoption). These two assets could be included in one idea, as they're releated and reinforce eachother.

Add as many or as few assets to the idea as you'd like, give the idea a name and simply hit 'Create Idea'. It will then appear on your profile page and elsewhere across the organisation you were in when you created it.

Profile

Voila! Your first idea. It's time to start exploring what PlayTank has to offer.
